view movies from phone to HDTV

I want a simple cord that will connect directly from my phone to my HDTV via HDMI. I don't want/need MHL since my TV doesn't support it. I believe I saw someone post a link to monoprice for only a couple of bucks but after several searches I couldn't find it. There are so many different options and I want to make sure I don't order the wrong cord.

You sitll need to plug a charger into it and an additional HDMI cable.

But aren't I essentially paying for the MHL adapter that I don't need anyway? Or do our phones require this?

If you're trying to connect via HDMI cable, then the phone requires the MHL adapter since it doesn't have a separate micro-HDMI port.
