Virtuous 3.1 Random Reboots?

Has anyone noticed randon reboots with Virtuous 3.1? I have noticed at least three times the phone on my hip sudddenly exclaims... DRRROOOOIIIIDDDDD! And the phone has rebooted.

Thoughts?

This hasn't been happening to me at all, so more specific to your setup? Do a full Nandroid backup and reflash the ROM with a wipe, and see if it continues?

I've done the permissions reset - It does not happen often, only three times in the last month, so I'll see how the permission reset works first before re-flashing.

Frankly, it's the only problem I've seen in the ROM so far.

Also - I am running the alternate Kernel FWIW.

That's interesting. I use Virtuous and I NEVER get the Droid sound on startup. That's one of the things I like about virtuous is it got rid of that sound on startup. It's very annoying if you have to restart in a place you need quiet. Try the Kernel switch too. I figured if the developer made the rom, and made a kernel to go with it, that kernel probably works better with the rom than the stock kernel. I use the adrynaline kernel.

I was using the Adrynalyne Virt Custom Kernel v2 - Just switched back to the Stock Virt Kernel. We'll see what happens.

318sugarhill - You're correct about the DRRROOOIIIIDDD sound, but you can re-enable it in Virt Buddy. I got tired of my wife insulting my manhood because her stock DInc went DRRRROOOOOIIIIDDDD and mine didn't!

Update - Well - after doing permissions fix, restoring the Original Virtuous Kernel and deleting some recently installed apps - I am still getting random reboots - I'm going to try a hard reset and I'll post back.

Mine started doing that, and it seems that it was related to one of the Widgets I had running - I got rid of all my widgets and it suddenly stopped. I've been adding them back one at a time to try to locate which one (if any). Might be something different for you, but just a thought.

I've been seeing a few random reboots since using Virtuous 3.1 as well. Have no idea the cause. Seems to happen about once a week.

In Virt Buddy... Settings & Toggles -> Other Toggles ->Toggle Audio Boot

My wife's phone would reboot regardless of what rom, kernal, apps, whatever. So I went back to stock for a warranty return....as someone somewhere posted that the snapdragons were at fault (during the time when the processor was on backorder and shoddy works provailed). Its a hardware thing, not software....or so the common wisdom of the interwebs says.
