I was using Visionary to do a temp root, and I see it say perm root now....

Is this a new version that does it in one simple step?

All I want to do is take out all the garbage sprint put in that I don't want running all the time
that I will never use, ie. Sprint TV, that stupid football thing, Footprints......etc....

Does rooting let me get rid of those?

i don't think that perm root button works on this phone without going into an adb shell and putting in some code. and yes, perm rooting will allow you to take off all the sprint crap. there's a one click rooting solution over at xda. there might be a link on this forum if you search around.

Hmmm, I did the temp Root over and over, but I can't uninstall those apps under the settings>applications>Manage Applications>all tab. What am I missing?

I don't believe you can remove bloat with temp root. You can however use titanium backup to freeze unwanted apps.
