Visual voice mail for AT&T

not true. my buddy moved from his 4S to an LG Optimus G and he still has visual voicemail.
he installed the AT&T Messenger app and showed me.
While all the AT&T apps in the play store will say not compatible for my N4.
not sure if it's a Jelly Bean issue because his Optimus G came with ICS?
i mean we basically have the same hardware (except for LTE)

Or we don't have the att bloatware installed.

the ATT Visual voicemail app is not working on my phone. I sideloaded the apk since you cannot download it from the play store. No dice. It hangs on entering the password. I then sideloaded the same app apk which used to put it onto my skyrocket back in November 2011 and then my international Gnote (which was HSPA+) and that worked for a few minutes and then forced closed every time I tried to open it...

Really want a visual voicemail app. I saw a few suggestions here. Anything that works like a charm? Anyone using Youmail Visual voicemail?

Well, that's why on Google Play is says it's incompatible so why try?

I just use goggle voice and have it handle my voicemail. works no problem and can listen to my voicemails from the dialer.

Seriously? Lots of app listed as incompatible work fine when side loaded.

I used Google voice years ago and I did not like the fact that the volume on the messages was too faint, even at full volume. Maybe I should try it again.
