Is there visual voicemail on the Note 3? When I click on the phone icon and then click on the voicemail icon and it just calls my voicemail box and asks for a password. How do I make it display the messages visually? I want to be able to see the number they are from and be able to fast forward and replay. None of this "press 1, press 7...".

You should be able to search for it in the play store. I loaded it on my phone.

every time i try and set up my voicemail i get a busy signal. I just want normal voicemail i dont want to use the visual voicemail app. (or do I have to use it?)

I was only able to get it to work when I switched my default messaging app to the ATT messaging app.

Its not a good solution as then text read back does not work in driving mode.

What I did was uninstall the updates for messages and installed visual voicemail. Now my voicenail goes to that app instead. You may be able to stop the app then install VV.

So you downloaded the visual voice mail app?

The visual voice mail app works fine from att on my note with out installing their terrible messages app.

Yes this works much better and let's you still use the stock messaging app for SMS which are still read out in driving mode.

I am using it now.

I would also look into YouMail. Much better, I think.

And if you like it, you could buy Better YouMail which exceeds the
standard YouMail experience. Not very expensive.

I use HulloMail. I've used it with my S3 and now my Note 3. It's free. There is a pd version that removes the ads at the bottom but the ad ticker at the bottom isn't intrusive at all. At least not to me. You can always try it & see if you like it. I know one big drawback to AT&T's visual voicemail was that it didn't work over Wi-Fi so if you were at home on your Wi-Fi, you wouldn't get any voicemail notifications. Or at least this was the main deciding factor when I chose to go with HulloMail. They may have fixed it by now, but I don't care for their messaging app or any of their other apps either. They don't seem to be very well thought out from our end. Hope you find what works for you!
Good luck!

Just use Google voice for your voice mail. It also transcribes the messages for you and you can get your voice mail on the net and your phone.

This has apparently been fixed, as I am able to get notifications on AT&T Visual Voicemail when I'm connected to my home WiFi.

When I first picked up my Note 3, there was no visual voicemail app installed. The only voicemail app that was pre-loaded was AT&T Messaging, which I took a disliking to quickly. I went into app settings, cleared the cache and data, and turned off the app. I then went to Google Play and downloaded AT&T Visual Voicemail https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...m.att.mobile.android.vvm&hl=en&token=jpguwwbU

I'm not as happy with this app as I was the VVM app that I had previously on my Splint Note II, as it doesn't have as much customization as far as notifications are concerned, but it suits my needs.

Thanks for this. I just took AT&T VVM off of my phone and set up and tested this. Still tweaking the settings to my liking, but it looks like a win.
