vivo v9 i music shuffle not working

[Android Central Question]

Whenever I choose the shuffle option on my vivo v9 i music the app would play the 1st song from the playlist on repeat. I tried force stop app and restart but it didn't work.

I have the same problem as yours. In my case, I'm sure it wasn't like that a month ago when I fist got my phone, but then a few days ago I noticed that the shuffle option wont work cuz it keeps on playing the first song in my playlist. I already tried what u did but didn't work too.

Thanks for the screenshot! If you tap the Shuffle icon while the song is playing, and then bring up the whole playlist (which I presume is the icon to the right of the fast-forward button), what do you see? Does the whole playlist show up, or only the first song?

The whole playlist shows up... I already went to the store where I bought the phone but they only suggested to do system update and observe if its the same issue. But now, even though it's already updated, im still having the same issue.

Ok, and is all of your music saved to Internal Storage or an SD card? If it's on an SD card, see what happens if you move it to Internal Storage.

If the problem persists, then I'd suspect a bug with the stock music player app. Send feedback to Vivo about it.

Same problem with my phone as well shuffle is not working in Vivo V9. I visited to Vivo service centre as well they reboot the phone. But after 1 day same problem.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you saying that shuffle worked for a day after rebooting, but then stopped working after that?

I was having the same problem too, but there's been a system update and shuffle has started working again!
