vodafone lollipop

hi all ive just required a galaxy s5 in the uk and it has this build number wich is vodafone branded but sim unlocked and since having the phone its done nothing but lag... can i flash a unbranded firmware 4.4.2 or 5.0 because after hours of searching ive seen there is a bug fix for the unlocked uk variant. ive tryed finding serval links for both 4.4.2 and 5.0 and it wont let me grab the file of sammobile or mega. and help,links or infomation would be awsome. i have the uk g900f version.. thanks in advanced

The Vodafone UK build, NL9, for the international G900F mdel is quite an old build I am afraid and Vodafone UK need to update it soon. One thing you can try is wiping the cache partition, as per #1.3 of S5 Lollipop Update Problems - Dummies Guide.

Alternatively, you can flash the very latest unbranded stock Samsung Lollipop release for the UK, OD3, which has numerous bugfixes for speed, performance, battery, camera and Wi-Fi. You will need t download it from the link below and flash it via Odin by following the instructions and video in the links of #1.11 of 40 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide. Please read the warning in the link.

thankyou for the reply and information but when i go to sammobile to join it wont let me view the antispam puzzle so i carnt finish the sign up. is they another link i could use for this build? i have got the odin file and samsung drivers just not the firmware file. and regarding the cache ive already cleared that in the recovery but still no change

still no luck. rapidgator just keeps kicking me out and the other link is tells me i can download it been a free user but dosent provide a link after the 30s countdown.

Why are you downloading it to your phone? The Samsung firmware for Odin is for PC use. Please follow the instructions I linked you to in post #2.

yea i know odin is a pc program ive used it dozens of times i was just downloading the files i need so that i can transfer the files to my laptop

Then you'll know that the Samsung firmware files are around 1.5GB and take about an hour to download on a PC with 20MBps broadband. It also might explain why you could not sign in to SamMobile.
