Voice control via car stereo Bluetooth

I just replaced my dead VW Jetta premium head for an aftermarket JVC HD radio. The unit allowed voice control dialing. I could not get the Moto X (xt1503 DE) to work. The unit head said not supported.

I finally figured out you need to enable Bluetooth voice control in the phone settings.

Settings>Speech>voice search>Bluetooth headset>on/off (default is off, select on)

Please clarify. My XT1053 (no DE model, they all have unlockable bootloaders), running 4.4.4, has no such option in the phone settings. Opening phone settings opens a page called 'Call settings' and does not have a voice search menu option. Are you running a custom rom? Did you mean XT1053 or XT1503 as you stated? Are you starting in 'Settings' or 'Phone settings'?

I believe the actual location should be:

Settings>Language & Input>Speech(actually a header in the L&I settings)>Voice Search

Then you should see "Bluetooth headset"
