I find myself using voice dictation for almost everything on my phone due to the arthritis in my hands. Anyone else out there using voice dictation for everything?

I haven't got there yet. you set that up in Accessibility?

I use it all the time! For this reason alone I cannot use the Samsung keyboard and use Gboard as my default keyboard. In my experience it handles voice to text far better.

Same I use Gboard and speak the majority of my text and I have small hands and I don't know why but I am also a swiper and I feel I can swipe better on Gboard over the Samsung keyboard. I had Gboard on my watch 4 but I can't remember how to get it on my Watch 5 I need to google it.

Just use Google keyboard and the microphone is there to use.

cool...not going to do it, but was curious for future consideration. with that in mind, Samsung Keyboard also has the same feature (nevermind Bixby or Google Assistant can do the job, too)

The Samsung text to speak engine isn't as good in my opinion. Even if you enable Google as the preferred text to speech engine in settings and use that with the Sammy keyboard I find Gboard is much better at recognizing what I say.

I try to use it a lot, but end up getting frustrated with having to correct what it types. It isn't very good with my accent

My biggest pet peeve is it typing the word karma when what I want is a comma.

Specifically try Gboard voice dictation/microphone instead of Samsung keyboard version.

I use Gboard, only use Samsung keyboard on my watch. It's not even much better on my Pixel.

Works a lot better if I put on a posh Southern accent though haha.

"posh" and "southern" don't seem to go together (speaking as one who is fluent in "Redneck")

From an American perspective, England is upside down. Our South is soft and rich, the North is tough and poor.
See Game of Thrones for details.

Off topic a little bit, but one of my favorite features in Gboard is the clipboard how you can copy multiple things and then paste them individually.

Warmer weather towards the equator. I wouldn't say Texas is soft though lol

Edit: I read that completely backwards haha
