Voice not unlocking phone for text/email on S20?

[Android Central Question]

Hoping somebody can help as I've been trying to figure this out for a while.

I'd like my S205G to unlock via voice command with Google Assistant, so i can dictate emails and texts, hands free while driving.

From what I can see, I've toggled all the correct settings ( hey google is on in voice match ... and lock screen is toggled on in lock screen setting for Google Assistant ).

If I ask Google Assistant to send an email though, it shows me my lock screen and says it can't do that without me unlocking it ( code ). Same for texts.

Anyone have any suggestions on this?

Voice commands are very limited on lock screen and wont unlock due to security of Android.
