Voice Search Erratic

I have my home marked on google maps and in google now, so I can do a google voice search of "navigate home" and it will take me there. The problem is it only works about a third of the time. Another third of the time it just does a google search of "navigate home" and the other 3rd, it does both and I have to hit the back button to get back to the voice search with the timer for the command. Has anyone else experienced this?

Do you know how to get google voice to stop doing 2 things at once? It does the same with all the commands: gets it right, or searches for it, or does both at once. For texts, open commands, whatever.

I don't know about the other commands,but try using "navigate TO ..." instead of just navigate.

Since it was all commands, navigate to yielded the same. I ended up clearing all data uninstalling all updates then reinstalling and it works fine now.
