I can easily text by voice then hit the send button and it'll send. But for weeks now the phone chimes immediately and the Voice feature has come right back on. Didn't use to do this. Can I change this somehow?
It does show that I am using Google Assistant. I believe it is called Messages. Blue background with 3 blue dots inside a white interior. It was an app already on the phone.Need more info. What app are you using?
I'll take a guess that you're referring to Google Assistant. If so, check phone Settings and verify you don't have Continued Conversation enabled.
That's the Samsung Messages app. I've never used it, since I use Google Messages. Hopefully someone else will know now that we know which app it is.It does show that I am using Google Assistant. Never happened until recently making me wonder if an update did this. But no idea on if it was updated or not. That's the Samsung Messages app. I've never used it, since I use Google Messages. Hopefully someone else will know now that we know which app it is.
Then try resetting data and then for stop the message app just make sure you have backup on that way it could repopulate everythingDid that. Does not stop the open voice text to be open though. Send one and it thinks I am doing another and opens back up.
Um, sure. Not sure what resetting data means or how to proceed. Sorry. Old guy here who sucks with technology. Then try resetting data and then for stop the message app just make sure you have backup on that way it could repopulate everything

It talks about all application's data will be deleted permanently which includes all files, settings and so on.................. Does this mean all old texts are now gone? I have some I need to hold on to. The ongoing issue is a pain but tolerable. Deleting it all, if it truly does, is what I hope not to do.No worries
Instead of clearing cache next to it under app info >storage clear Data then force stop it![]()
If your log into your Samsung account and make a back up through PC Smart switch then should be no problemIt talks about all application's data will be deleted permanently which includes all files, settings and so on..................
