Voice to text for droid eris

I am trying to figure out how to use the voice to text feature on my eris..the htc support guy said to download a keyboard that has the mic button on it and that will replace the current keyboard then I could use the voice to text feature. Does anyone know where I can get one of those? Thanks.

I am in the same boat. It looks like the issue is with the keyboard. The functionality is there in the YouTube app.

I have gotten it to work when using the HandCent messenger app, but it wasn't good enough for me to use with any regularity. That's the only voice to text that I'm aware of - but then, I don't know everything

I will try HandCent. I installed the HTC_IME_lo keyboard but it does not come up in the Messenger app. Has anyone got it working?
