Voicemail Alert

I think I know the answer to this but is there a way to have a special tone for VM's??
Currently it is the same as my text message alert.
I didn't see anything about changing the VM tone..

I'm pretty sure theres no way for that...all notifications have the same tone which is really dumb i think.

I use K9 mail, and handcent and can use separate tones, good luck.

I don't know of a way to change the Voicemail notification sound specifically, but if it uses the default notification sound configured under Settings > Sound > Notification Ringtone, you should be able to set the default to what you want the Voicemail notification to be, and then set the other apps to use a specific notification (other than the default) within each app, thereby giving the Voicemail notification a unique sound.

That's if you don't bother to check the notification settings for your apps. Many apps allow you to adjust notifications within the app. The OS notification setting is just the generic notification.
