i had to restore my watch to factory settings then i just disabled voicemail notifications on my watch to fix the issue
same issue here. Seems to be a Gear S specific problem but I can't figure out what setting is causing. Quick question, I was thinking that the problem arose because the SIM in my Gear S is data only and I turned on Call Forwarding to see if it would work anyway and when I turned it off something got "stuck", so my question is, do you have a SIM in your Gear S that gives you full service including calling from the Gear S number?
NO need to reset watch just press and hold that page till an icon comes up to dismiss the page I did that

So you've long pressed the notification screen until it gets small and a red minus sign appears in upper right of shrunken screen? Have you tried this while phone and watch are not tethered? I had your scenario once and it was a voicemail left on my watch's number (not the phone) and the only way to rid it was the above described method. It might come back when you get out of tether range again but since the number is deactivated from your account you'll have to contact your carrier and have them remove the message on their end. At that point the above method should make it dismiss and not come back. I've read another thread here where Sprint was having an issue with a customer and they were getting notifications to a non active number as well .This one does not work for me been trying to get rid of the notification for 3mo since my service was shut off, I've tried to swipe it away but it only tries to call, I've reset my watch and phone to factory and it still won't go away
