voicemail retrieval

I have a voicemail message I would very much like to keep beyond the life of my phone. Is there a way download the messages to my computer to keep and enhance the sound?

It suggests audacity but I was wondering if I could use voice recorder r sound recorder from Microsoft? I have not use either but when I searched my PC, they suggested using these
