Verizon offers Premium Voicemail, with transcription, for $2.99 a month, but for some insane reason you can't get it on the HTC One M8. I think it's only LG and Motorola, not even Samsung (I could be remembering wrong).

So, does anyone have a voicemail-to-text app/service they like? Ideally no more than $3/month. Jeez the one that was FREE on my old T-Mobile HTC One (original 2013) was really great! I don't know why this is so difficult with Verizon.

How's at least $0.00/month? Google Voice. You can have it send you emails of all your voicemails. And it doesn't depend on your carrier - change carriers, change numbers and your Google Voice number doesn't change, you just change the number it forwards to. (Or numbers - mine forwards to my cellphone and my house, so I get the call regardless, unless I'm too busy to grab it, or it's too noisy for me to use the cellphone. Or it's my pharmacy telling me that a prescription is ready - I never pick that up - let it go to voicemail and I'll read the email.)

Thanks. I don't think Google Voice is my option although it seems like it would be a good one. First of all I want to use my current number not my Google Voice number (which I do have). I tried to see if this was possible by going through steps in the Google voice app to set up my Voicemail but it didn't even get through the process, it says it isn't compatible with my carrier or something.

I love Google Voice. I've been using it for a couple years. I also have a custom number with my name. I'm in sales so I give my FWD number out a lot without giving out my real number!
