This is really starting to aggravate me a lot. Whenever I'm on the phone and it's to my ear, it is so low that I can barely hear them. The volume is all the way up, I've Googled this issue and can't find a solution to fix this (besides getting new phone). When i switch the call to speakerphone it is nice and loud. Any help please?

Does it also happen in Safe Mode? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-34283. If so, then it's probably a problem with the speaker itself. Make sure the speaker opening is clear of any debris, like lint. If it's clear, then contact Samsung for warranty repair/replacement due to a faulty earpiece speaker.

Never thought about doing it in safe mode. I'll give that a shot tomorrow. The opening is clear of debris and not covered by anything. Would Samsung replace it being that I've had this phone for year n half? I do Verizon 3rd party insurance on it, could always go down that route. Just not really looking forward to a 99 deductible.

Most device warranties in the US are 1 year, but check the fine print. It also won't hurt contacting Samsung directly and asking -- you never know, they might offer to replace it for free. But most likely, they'll say it's out of warranty and you'd have to pay out of pocket for the repair (unless you go through insurance).
