Volume and sound quality vary by site

Depending on the site, volume and sound quality can vary from nearly incomprehendable to superb. For instance,trying to listen to streaming radio at WBUR the volume is unacceptably low. Trying to view the videos on this forum's Tips and Tricks, the volume is low and the little bit that comes thru is scratchy, to say the least. However, I get pop-up ads with the solitaire app I use, and if they have sound, they are clear as a bell and the volume is capable of peeling paint off the wall. Suggestions on getting control of volume and audio quality issues?

I've been hesitant to throw a volume booster on my N7, but your post edged me on . Used SpeakerBoost and it seems to have taken care of most of the problem. I hope this is an issue Google addresses in the next JB release.

Based on the number of legal disclaimers I had to check off on to load and fully open SoundBoost, I suspect you are right. At the same time, the wide variances in volume between sites/sources indicates an issue to be addressed, I think.
