Found a great app from the market that made my Evo 3d a lot louder!!! But be careful not to blow your speaker[/SIZE]. I made small adjustments until the sound was just right. The app is called volume+ (Sound Boost) you have a (speaker setting) (headset setting) and (Bluetooth setting). I only adjusted the speaker setting:D I enabled speaker modifications, turned on the VR effects, turned volume level to +8 , turned EQ setting to treble boost, and adjusted the other EQ settings the way i liked them.
here is the link. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.TEST.android.lvh&feature=search_result hope it works for you guys like it did for me...

I tried it, didn't notice the difference?

i noticed a big difference when playing movies, using the speaker phone, pandora ect. Try playing around with the settings a little more. Make sure you check mark the VR effects, and enable the speaker modification setting. If you want a louder speaker make sure you are making changes to the (speaker setting section) only. I didn't use the virtual room effect setting.

There was another post about changing a setting that required getting the mhl number from Sprint. It does help. This program may help more though.

What settings are you guys using? I've kinda given up on it and just stuck with DSP which works pretty good already.

Can the speaker handle the boost? Or is there a good chance of blowing it?

That is a good question since I have allready returned my first one due to a blown speaker. On the other hand, HTC could be cutting back on power to the speaker to help with battery life. This can simply cause distortion which will more then likely blow the speaker any ways. So, your dambed if you do or your dambed if you dont.

Im no engineer but that soundes like a pretty good explination! :)

Wow the app works thank goodness. I just used what the op said. Just $1.60 so pretty cheap.
