Volume buttons default to media

My volume buttons keep defaulting to changing the media volume without me selecting it as the option. If I restart the phone it'll go back to changing the ringtone volume for a while then go back to changing media again.

If you have media running at the time, it will.

Correct, it will change what it modifies depending on what you have open or what is playing.

Yeah that's a given but with nothing connected and nothing running with no apps or media open it will change the media volume and not the ringtone volume.

I've seen this issue in a couple of other threads, and a commonality was Words With Friends 2. If you have that installed, try uninstalling it.

this is a setting in your sound menu...when you turn any volume down..drop the whole menu down and at the bottom is a toggle to turn that feature off..I hope this helps
