Volume buttons not dismissing alarm

So I have a Blurex case for my Nexus that has a magnet in it to put it to sleep and wake it when its opened and closed. When I was in stock form, the alarm would always dismiss when I hit the volume buttons on the side. I'm running Paranoid Android now, and even though it's set to do that in the alarm settings, it doesn't work with the case closed. Works fine if its opened and the magnet in the case isn't putting it in sleep mode. Any ideas on how I can fix this? Not a major issue, but an annoyance still.

Ok I think I found the issue. Under 'settings' and 'display' there's a setting 'volume rocker wake'. That seems to have fixed the problem. I guess that's checked by default on the stock nexus, and not on the PA rom.
