Ringtones and notifications especially when on full volume are about half as loud as what they used to be. Frustrating.
Yes I have.I've upgraded 3 turbo 2's to Marshmallow - no audio issues at all, volumes don't seem any different. I'm assuming that you have tried expanding the volume drop down, so you can see the separate settings for ringtone, media and alarm volume?
I do use Textra, hmmmmm. I'll have to look at that thanks!See this thread. Sound Issues with Marshmallow?

Well, you posted in it, so I assume you saw it. Do you have a text message app (are you still using textra?) with the notification setting to do a pop up when you get a message? If you turn that off, does that fix the problem?

Don't feel bad. All of us do things like that sometimes.Never mind, deleted post . . . .
Actually I should put this out there if it helps someone, even though it's very embarrassing for me - I found out that my low volume problem was due to the act that I still had the factory screen protector on and it doesn't have cut-outs for the speaker (facepalm). . . .
Kinda like the old "is it plugged in" joke . . .
