Volume Issue

I just got the Galaxy Note Edge, but I've noticed it suffers from the same flaw that my Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 3 did (and I assume probably all other TouchWiz phones). When a notification comes in while a video or music is playing, the volume is temporarily reduced so that you can hear the notification. About 2 seconds later, the music/video resumes at normal volume. So here's where the problem comes in. and I'll use an example that has happened to me many times. Supposed I'm listening to Pandora, but I pause the song because I need to speak to someone. While Pandora is paused, I get an e-mail or text message notification. Whenever I un-pause Pandora, the volume is significantly lower, as it would be during a normal notification interruption. The problem becomes that there is no way to get it back to normal volume other than to restart the application. Does anyone know a fix for this? Is there some kind of sound setting that I don't know about?

This is the type of stuff you can fix with root. Hopefully Edge ATT and Verizon root is available one day. Lately, Android is locked down tighter then iPhones. My son Jailbroke his iPhone 6 about an hour after he had it allowing him to do all kinds of extra non apple approved tweaks like widgets etc...

So nobody else has had this issue? It's ridiculously annoying. I don't want to root my phone to fix this because I like Touchwiz, and I imagine getting rid of it is the only way.
