Volume Issues After Stagefright Update

Love my Nexus 6 speakers but since I updated my phone to the Stagefright update the speakers have been noticeably lower.

I would start a song/video on Google Play Music, YouTube, or any other source. It starts off loud for the first few seconds, then it just lowers to about 50% of the original volume.

Does anyone else have this problem and/or have a solution? I know it's not a hardware issue because I've never had the issue until just a few hours ago. Thanks.

I did notice this as well, however I cleaned cache from recovery and I think this issue is gone.

Just Google Nexus 6 wipe partition cache, there are lots of easy tutorials for doing that, it's very easy.

I rebooted into Safe Mode and everything was fine, but once I went back into regular mode the problem came back.

If safe mode fixes the issue, the problem is a third party app. Look at the recently installed/updated apps, and try to remove those to see if the problem goes away.

I looked through all of my recently updated apps and looked through the app permissions. Facebook Messenger was the only one with the permission of "change audio settings", so I uninstalled it and the problem seems to be gone! Hopefully this will be the end of it. Thanks!

And just like that, the problem is back. Even with FB Messenger uninstalled. I just don't know what to do.

Assuming the problem still goes away in safe mode, I still believe it is a third party app that is causing the problem.
Hate to say this, but if you are unable to figure out which app it is, maybe consider a factory reset, and then, install apps one or two at a time, and see which app is causing the issue?
