Volume not working

Today I went to play a YouTube video and it didn't have sound. Tried another and..nothing. Restarted the phone and it was back. Not happy about that

Does it happen often or was it a one time thing?

Once with YouTube that I recall. But several times notification sounds weren't working. Everything's been on sound wise I knewwhat to check.

Technology sometimes needs a reboot , don't over think it.

Only when ive had to. I probably have I'll guess 5 or 6 times. Once it rebooted itself for no reason last week while I was in the middle of doing something on it normal with an ap.

I do once a week. No issues since I got the phone 2 months back.

Might be a stupid question but do you have Bluetooth on and connected to any "audio devices"? It happens to me all the time and I forget that Bluetooth takes control by itself.

I doubt that's the case. I don't use anything Bluetooth related and ONCE had this same problem where sound wouldn't play. A reboot fixed it and it hasn't popped up ever since.

I noticed this on my Note 5 - I would get playback errors or some other issue when I access media on the device with sound, YouTube errors but a restart fixes it - the issue is you dont know sound isn't working until you miss a notification or video playback fails
