Volume Up/Down Mutes Ring Tone When Locked

Is the Dinc supposed to stop the ring tone of an incoming call if the Up/Down Volume button is pushed while the phone is locked? Is there anyway to stop the Volume button from muting the ring tone before the call is answered? "Quiet Ring on Pick Up" is not checked.

I have searched the Forums and the Dinc Manual and can find nothing that deals with this.

Can't believe 46 people have looked at this and not one stated whether their Dinc mutes an incoming ring tone when screen is locked. I do not remember this happening before 2.2. Is it a new feature? If it is I can't find a setting to disable it. If its a bug then I would like HTC to know about it.

Would someone please call their Dinc from another phone while the Dinc is on the lock screen and press the Volume up/down button on the left side of the Dinc before unlocking or answering. I would really appreciate knowing if it mutes the ring tone before the call is answered.

I called my Dinc from my house phone. While it was ringing I hit the volume switch. The ring silenced for about two seconds and began again. I hit the button a second time and it silenced it.

Try Volume Locker from the market it should solve your problem!

This is great to know since updating to 2.2 my power button no longer mutes ringer. I really miss that option.
