I'm a big fan of Weatherbug Elite. The mp widget is really nice for tracking storms on severe weather days, and the radar live wallpaper is perfect for a weather nerd such as myself. ;)

I haven't found one app that makes me really happy yet. I use a combo of radar now and "the weather channel." i find myself using the radar part and hourly forecasting a lot more than the other features.

Which one of these is good at using gps to locate your location efficiently? I am using the go weather widget n it sucks.

Another vote for The Weather Channel app. I love that it actually has something specific to my small town unlike most other apps that just redirect me to the capital.

Weather Bug Elite is out in front by a slim margin. That is my favorite. Great full-screen RADAR that let's you set how far back to show.

I don't know if it's best since it's the only one I've ever really used, but I use The Weather Channel because it gives me hourly percent chance of rain. I'm a college student so I have to walk a lot during the day and in the SF Bay area, it can be sunny one minute and raining the next, sometimes both at the same time.

I guess my only comparison is the Sense 3.0 weather app, and while it's all nice and pretty, it doesn't have hourly % chance of rain, therefore I can't rely on it.

Do any of the weather programs forecast radar? WB Free and TWC show you past radar, but I want forward. If WB Elite does that, I'll buy it. Anyone? Thanks!

BeWeather Pro gets my vote. It has every feature I will ever need, cool animations, and a clean & easy to use UI.

hmm i was pretty sure I posted but i'll redo it. For the weather I use Wakevoice (alarm clock with vocal weather integrated)!

For general weather info: Beautiful Widget's Home Weather widget (background hidden and NakedAlloy skin). Works great for accessing the system clock and calendar too.

For radar and more in depth weather info including alerts: 3340 Weather app (local Birmingham ABC affiliate with the great James Spann!!!). Even though it's listed as North Central Alabama, it's fully configurable for any location. I believe the ads are the only thing specific to Alabama. The maps have a lot of features and are very smooth. Double tap to zoom in or pinch to zoom in/out, or touch and drag. I keep the alerts turned off (which also prevents the app from auto starting on boot up) unless there is severe weather forecasted. For a free app, it really has a lot of features and works very well. :)
