VPN app saying i haven't rooted device

I rooted my device last night so i thought and i downloaded a VPN app and it is saying that my phone is not rooted. What am i doing wrong?

If you need to confirm root download Root Checker from the play store..

Quick question... says by your avatar you are on a RAZR? Or does that just need to be updated?
Looks like you just updated that, lol

If on a gnex, if you unlocked and have a custom recovery flashed (per the instructions) then you just need to download the su.zip and flash it in recovery... check the guides again, you probably just missed a step..
