VR apps constantly not responding

I have a HTC One M8. Recently I bought a Google cardboard glasses and I've tried a couple of VR apps to play. It was really cool but most of the apps (basically all that requires touch or magnetic button slide action), after a few minutes of running, just won't respond towards the action that I did on the phone and after several seconds, a not responding window pops up. This happens for every apps that requires touch or magnetic button slide action. (I do realize that my phone becomes really hot after playing so idk if that's the cause)
