I have a Verizon LG G2. It was rooted with stump root. I mistakenly did an OTA update recently. Now i am getting the LG logo then fastboot mode started. I did NOT install any custom recovery. I have tried to get into download mode with Volume up and plugging in USB and it goes back to fastboot mode. Ive also brought up the hard reset screen and proceeded to erase all user data and it goes back to fastboot mode. Im using a Dell 64 bit with Windows 8.1. It will not recognise my phone at all. Ive spent 3 days on every site i could find. Ive downloaded every LG Driver + erase all drivers on the Computer. Im not to savy with files and promts etc. I just recently downloaded a UniversalAdbDriverSetup.msi. Nothing either. Please help

You can get the proper driver at LG Mobile Phone Support. If it doesn't work, bring the phone into Verizon and see if their tech people can get it running. Just tell them that it stopped running after an OTA update (and hope they get it fixed without noticing that it's rooted).

I did same thing. Sent it to evolutionroot, look him up on YouTube. Fixed it quickly and was $40

That's robbery.

What you need to do is use your current fastboot environment to fastboot flash aboot, boot and laf from 26a. That will restore download mode at which point you can flash the 26a tot using LG Flash Tools and then stay on that or take the newest update on a fresh, stock device.

Are you sure the Koush universal driver didn't work for adb? While in fastboot mode, goto device manager and look for anything called "adb interface" or similar wording. If you get that, you will be able to issue adb/fastboot commands. If the Koush universal driver truly didn't work, try downloading PDAnet which comes packaged with adb/fastboot drivers. Then reboot with the device still plugged in and in fastboot mode. Recheck device manager for "adb interface" and proceed.
