VZW Galaxy nexus owners: Worth buying now?

Would you buy a new galaxy nexus on the cheap?

Here we are a year after the GNex originally came out, and with a new Jelly Bean update in the fold (and a year's worth of OTAs), would you still consider buying the GNex? With the recent VZW price drops, i'm considering picking one up, but figured it would be you, the nexus owners, who would steer me in the best direction.

So simply, knowing what you know now, would you buy a new one for $50?

I've had mine since launch day and I'm still in love with it. So, yes. Especially if you're into rooting. Can't beat the nexi dev community and the gnex hardware is and will be respectable at the very least well into 2013. I'm sure you could get one for free on contract. That said, if I was on a half decent phone and money wasn't an issue, I'd be waiting on the next Nexus hotness and/or buy a gnex off contract to hold me over.

same here....

Galaxy Nexus is the only smartphone that I haven't gotten bored with after nearly a year of ownership. (bought it a couple days after VZW launched it last December)

I have a Galaxy Nexus being delivered today because I missed owning one. Updated to a Droid Razr Maxx and regret selling the Nexus.

I would say no on the poll but the options are kinda Eh, but I don't know, if I didn't have one right now and am aware that the nexus 4 is coming out I'd probably go for that instead

I bought my Galaxy Nexus the morning that VZW released it. I absolutely love this phone. There are only a few problems I have with it. 1. The camera is awful. It only takes good pictures in natural light. 2. There were reception issues. Most have been fixed with the 4.1 update. 3. The build quality is not great compared to HTC or Motorola. I am very much into tinkering with my phone though and this is the best phone you can get for that. It is plenty fast. Minimal lag. Only lags when opening certain apps. I'm probably switching to something quad core just because I have to have the next best thing. Hope that answers your question.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

There needs to be an option of "No, because a new Nexus is about to come out". That's my vote.

Haha I did the exact same thing except mine is supposed to arrive Tuesday. During the supposed Hurricane im supposed to be getting where i live :-X

I got bored of the Razr MAXX about a month or two after getting it. (I got it because I wanted the extended battery life) Its nice to have a phone last two days but, once you get bored with it it will last longer because you dont want to use it that much anymore.
