VZW N5 notifications messed up after MM update

i reset the phone twice. Still struggling with the notifications or more importantly the light for them. Light flow and light flow legend does not work as well as "light manager"

its forcing the blue light and nothing seems to help. ive tried all the settings. any ideas ?

now ive tried about 5 apps and none seem to control my LED.

I don't know if this recommendation is allowed on this forum but there is an app, Drippler, which has numerous articles on dealing with problems specific to the Note 5.

I should add I have no connection to said app but it does regularly deal with the most minute problems affecting your device.

On the off chance, maybe there is a something in Settings"Lock screen and security" or 'Notifications" that could be influencing this?

nothing helpful there but thanks for trying. ive always been surprised by the lack of total control over the LED that android has. samsung seems to be the worst for this too unfortunately

Did you try the special version of Lightflow for samsung with Marshmellow? The website gives directions. There are several steps.

I know with 5.1 the way that the led could be controlled had changed. That's why those apps had a 5.1 workaround setting.
I use light manager and it manages my led on 6.1 just as it did before 5.1.

light manager does the best job but its not 100%. of course the ONE app that is the most important (work email) it doesnt control, the phone forces a SLOOOOOW blue led. if it was fast id be ok
