Wait, or different USB charger?

So is the problem just the USB charge cables or the actual small USB port on the Nook Color?

Is it recommended to wait for the new hardware to ship at the end of February (which might be more consistent across all components) or just use a different charger instead (like from slower-charge a cell phone)?

If we use a different charger, how do we guess when the device is fully charged (if the Nook "n" otherwise changes color)?

I had to return one already because of the charger not really fitting the Nook.

Traded it in - got an older model (older build) and it's fine now.

But if yours doesn't fit you'll probably have to return it, too. I even took mine to Barnes and Noble to see if they had a cord that worked - nope!

In the event of a necessary exchange, how do we determine which NCs are "older" or "newer" build?

My first one was already loaded with 1.0.1

The new one was 1.0.0.
