Waiting for a Note 8 or switching to Galaxy S8?

I love my Note 5 but it's time for a change (my battery life in unbearable). I'd love to wait for the Note 8, cause unlike some ppl l...I use my S Pen quite a bit. But man let me tell you, the S8 looks amazing. And I heard they gave or much is the same capacities.

So what are you going to do? Wait for the new Note or jump to the S8?

I'm waiting for the Note 8, had the 7 for a bit and loved it and the different features from the S7, so I figured I'd wait and see what they come up with.

Was going to wait for the Note 8, but preordered the S8 plus. Love the Note line. Last three phones were the Note 2, 4 and using the 5 now. The Nougat update gave some new life to the phone.

I'm contemplating the same scenario, get the 8+ or wait for the Note 8. I use the S- Pen a lot too. I know I will want to Note 8 tho and can live without the S8. Decisions

Go ahead try S8 .. switch when N8 comes out .."It's quite ahile though ..."

Maybe it will improve my battery life. I'm on T-MOBILE and haven't gotten the new update yet.

Just had a new factory battery installed by Samsung... Note 5 running superbly, doing everything I want it to.

Will take a serious look at Note 8. Might buy it and keep the Note 5 as a backup.

If it's like the S8, with not many features that surpass my Note 5... I will pass.

Verizon extended warranty replacement. Battery degraded a lot, I had to hassle with Verizon and Samsung to replace the battery. It took a while... but got it done.

Try not using the spen and see what you think. I don't use mine a lot, mostly screen grabs and for that alone it's worth it (no saving, cropping, etc.). I use it for other things, but not as much as I thought.

I'm waiting on the Note 8. My Note 5 will be a back up.

I'm keeping my note 5 until it stops getting newer op system updates. Nougat will put me off from upgrading but if we don't get "O" then bye bye 5.

It's a tough life here. Battery already down to 38%. It got off the charger at 7:30am. Might not be able to make it to Note 8. Smh

I am really up in the air after the Nougat update, really made the phone like new. Granted my battery is not what it once used to be but with the new optimizations it's improved a decent amount. May get the S8+ or may wait for the Note 8 really unsure as I don't really ever use the S-Pen.

I am going to play with tge s8 plus in the store just to see how it feels, but i am waiting for the note 8, i use the s pen enough to wait for it.

If the note 8 disappoints, then i have no clue lol

It's funny - how long's it been since they pulled the Note 7? I used my Note 5 for about 2 weeks after that and couldn't handle the battery life so bought my S7 Active (4000 mAh). I've effectively been WITHOUT an S-Pen since then and survived - but I'm still waiting for the Note 8. Because those two Note 7s are permanently etched in my brain... we definitely didn't have them long enough! However, I can wait for the Eight!!!
