Wake locks?

Not sure but using gsam battery app in 4 hours I've had 969 wake locks doesn't seem very normal.

You're right, and I'm pretty sure Google has found the root of the issue in the kernel, which hopefully will be fixed next update.

Ahh OK so its an OS problem. I was thinking it might be one of my apps or something

Check "Wakelock Detector" or "BBS" for more details about wakelock names.
wakelock name(tag) tells many things
