"wake up in lock screen" options after rooting?

I would like to be able to change the setting of: "wake up in lock screen" on a Samsung S III on Jelly Bean, so it is available for all lock modes. It currently is only available for pattern or swipe lock.

The side effect of this is that I can't use it as a hand-free as s-voice isn't listening (in the more secure locking methods.)

Will rooting the phone enable me to overcome this and enable me to select "wake up in lock screen" for any lock mode?
