Wallpaper help....

I have an LG Optimus V and I am wondering what to resize the photos that I want to use for my wallpapers...I have found some that I like, but when I make them into a wallpaper, it doesn't look as good....

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Apps in the app market have wallpapers made for the multiple screen phones. Using traditional wallpaper is a bad idea
