wallpaper not showing

Im using LP and when I try to set a wallpaper it does not show on the homescreens. However it does show up on the lock screen and it also shows if I switch back to the stock launcher.

Any ideas on how to remedy the situation?

I should also note that some wallpapers do show up. I know the ones that I tried to use from flikie have yet to work and some others.
