is there an app that will automatically size my wallpaper photo to the size of my screen? Every time i select a photo a crop box pops up and it zooms into the box on the photo. Also is there a way to choose if i want the wallpaper photo spread across all 6 background pages in sections or to have the full size photo on every back ground page? Thanks for Any and all help.

Good question. I have the exact same problem. Hope someone has the answer. Otherwise, I'm always resizing my wallpaper.

I will be the man ...thanks lol
I use crop scale then drag the box out all the way and it makes the picture take up the entire area,

Really like this app. No more resizing every time I plug in phone to computer as usb or when I soft rebot by turning phone on and off. Thanks!

Gee... isn't there just a 480 x 600 size or something we could use? Just curious, very new at this, but I made my own for my BB and just sized them appropriately, usually on my PC.

Since the internal screen is 960px high by 540px wide... the best full size image is 960px high by 1040px wide for full size images. And the maxx's launcher has scrolling turned on. You'd need a 3rd party app to stop it from scrolling, or a 3rd party launcher... but even with a 3rd party launcher they still expect the wallpaper to be the same large size dimensions, even though you can use image that are smaller - the smaller images will display grainy.

Interesting... 1040px wide? is that a typo? I'm a little confused, why would it be 500px wider than the screen? BTW, what is the preferred file format, jpg, gif, png, etc?

Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX Specs | Android Central says 4.3" Super AMOLED display (540 x 960)... that is 540px wide, not 500px wide, which is what I said above.

If create a wallpaper that is 1040px wide by 960px high... which is the proper height for an image and used that wallpaper, stretching the cropping tool all the way out you will have a perfect fitting wallpaper which will scroll left and right using the entire wallpaper. If you create one that is wider or more narrow you will either loose some of your width or some of the height of your image when you set that as your wallpaper.

Also, you can use smaller images, but you will get a grainy effect if your images are not 960px high depending on the pixel density of your image.

Formats... use anything you want... I have used png as well as jpg file formats. I'm guessing you could use an animated gif as well, but I would not because of what it might do to your battery life.

It took a few trial and error attempts to get the correct height and width dimensions for this device... in the past 960px wide by 800px high worked good on my old HTC Thunderbolt, but the Razr and Razr Maxx has a better screen with more pixel density.
