Pixel 9 Pro Xl - tried all the suggested fixes and work arounds and my Wallpaper & Style app will not open. After trying it 4 or 5 times in a row the phone reboots. I sent feedback to Google through the phone itself. Does anyone have a possible fix? I do not want to do a factory reset as I have read that it did not help!

This still happens with January update today?

How do you access wallpaper & Style?
Through settings or long pressing empty page on the home screen?

I'm assuming you cleared data then force stopped the app?

Yes, I tried both access methods, and I do have all the latest updates and patches. Same thing happens... it simply will not open and after a few tries the phone decides to restart on its own. SMH

Just tried safe mode and the same behavior is taking place. The app just never opens.
What the HUH??!! Man, that is a head scratcher!

I hate this for you, but it looks like the dreaded factory reset may me in your future

Edit - just reread you OP and see you mentioned that reset doesn't appear to help, making this more strange!

That's a bad glitch, just to confirm you cleared data and force stop the app ?

That app won't even let you roll back to previous version, it's a system app and to have a bad glitch like that
