Want 6gb ram. Will it work the same in US?

RAM needs to be powered, it doesn't run on nothing. Also more RAM equals more apps running simultaneously, which means more power consumption. Low end smartphones get pretty good battery life with a small battery because of the lower specs.. less power needed to run the hardware. iPhones have been running on weaker specs than Andriod but still gets exceptional battery life.

Yes but this is predominantly because of less powerful CPU's, less powerful screens etc. I suppose technically RAM could have a minimal effect on battery, but I can't imagine that it is even noticable.

It's not noticeable.

Yeah it's not noticable too much. But 8GB RAM demands 2x more than 4GB RAM... But then again with Snapdragon 845 with a 10nm size! Wow significantly more power efficient so it makes up for the power requirement for the RAM and more..

Mod Note

I moved the off topic screen discussions to the thread about screens. I feel I have to do this way too often in these areas.

Please ensure to not derail others threads if there are already threads with that discussion going on. It's not fair for the OP and creates more work for the mods when it shouldn't be necessary.

No it won't work on T-Mobile. T-Mobile uses Band 2 (1900 MHz), Band 4 (1700/2100 MHz), Band 5 (850 MHz), Band 12 (700 MHz), Band 66 (Extension of band 4 on 1700/2100 MHz), Band 71 (600 MHz)

The 6gb version of the G7 has these bands
4G: LTE FDD 2100 (B1)/1800 (B3)/2600 (B7)/900 (B8);
TDD 2300 (B40)/2600 (B38)

I know this is an old thread but I need to firmly correct you here:
the Unlocked G710EAW *DOES* work on band 2 and band 4. I've tested it and it successfully uses it.
The box shows all the available bands accurately.

Weird that LGs own site would list incorrect bands then.

Not weird at all. LG only lists bands supported by the region. The phone is hardware capable of all bands shown on the box itself (mentioned on XDA forums). I don't know if bands not posted on the box will work after hardware flashing or not.

I remember the LG G6 international version had band 4 in the service menu but attempting to set band 4 would say "FAIL". No such problem with the G7.

Also I seem to have much faster SMS messages when setting my G7 to band 2 rather than the default 4 (using net10's t-mobile compatible sim)

I assume you would get no volte correct?
