Want a size comparison?

I love Palm and would remain loyal to them but they are not doing well, several people have left the company because they are up for sale. I hope that HTC buys them, it would be a great match and may help them fight the Apple lawsuit. Palm owns a lot of patents for smartphones. I am planning to switch to the EVO when it comes out...

Pre to EVO here as well. I got the Pre on launch day. I have to admit, Palm has done a decent job on keeping the phone updated but its the smallest smartphone (screen and keyboard) on the market. Its a really cool phone, I like it but.... What you'll be getting with the EVO, size does not matter.

My wife had the pre on Sprint, it was close to being a great phone but came up short. Round two with verizon will be much better I am sure.

Yep, I am also a Pre Owner ready to switch to the Evo. When I first heard about the massive screen I just knew I can't pass it up. Having all that HP from the Snapdragon under the hood certainly helps that decision because I am tired having to wait for apps to open on my Pre.

And thanks to the OP for the size comparison. I went to the local Radio Shack today as well to check out the HD2 and was going to make a pic like what you did, but I didn't have another camera handy.

Manny!!!! Good to see you here! The EVO is nice, isn't it? :D

Hey Eguy...good seeing you too....!!!

How do you make your pic show up? I uploaded mine (same one from Precentral) but it doesn't show up?

Pre to Evo also. I got the Pre in July and since then had it replaced 6 times. I can't handle any longer. Is the Android OS as easy to modify as the Palm?

You can do more without rooting an Android phone, but some things will require root access. With the attention this phone is getting, I'm guess someone will find an exploit for root access rather quickly.
