It's unlikely. Not because of Verizon but because the device has already received 2 platform updates (Lollipop to Marshmallow, Marshmallow to Nougat). 2 platform updates is all Google promises (or has in the past) for the devices it sells, with Samsung's update history I can see the same being the case there as well.
