The good news is that if you don't want a keyboard but do want Android the BB Motion should be an option. Same processor as the KeyOne and an even bigger battery; it's a 2-day duration monster in that department, and it has the same security posture and update schedule as the KeyONE.

The Motion should be released for Verizon fairly soon; there is a variant that has CDMA in it, and Verizon is the only company that uses that stuff any more, so I doubt they would have built it if Verizon wasn't eventually going to have it.

It's a big company, so that's got almost zero chance of succeeding, especially if the reason given is accurate. They won't risk any security breach if there is a real or perceived risk.

Would've still keep my personal phone separate.. worst case possible an embarrassing photo leaks.. plus they have access to your stuff.. who knows?
