Seems like I read that there was somewhere to buy the phone for $400 without a contract. Looks like VZW still wants $650 for it. My upgrade isn't until January and my Bolt is trashed.

Yep, oh well. Best Buy wants $799 for it one. I guess I will search Craigslist.

Yeah, that's just crazy. I'm not too sure about this but I remember someone saying they were able to add a line, get a new phone, and then cancel it or some funny business. Sounds to simple for Big Red to let that slip. Good luck. I love this phone. Nice stang too:cool:

Guess I could buy it for $199 adding a line. Then pay the $350 cancellation fee and come out ahead .....

I would definately check craigslist. You can get a really good deal if you are patient and check what is up for grabs often. There are always people wanting something else, and looking to change phone which equals a good deal for you!

normally I would agree... but this phone has to many random issues.... most wont be covered by the man warranty if not bought new... I wouldnt buy this phone used....
just my 2 cents

Salesman at my Verizon store said he knew of a few people looking to swap theirs for maxx @nd iPhones etc. Will find me one.

Definitely keep checking on Craigslist. You'll eventually find something on there. Good luck. :)

You could do like I did...open a new line and get the gnex for $199, then transfer it to your line that upgrades in January and put a basic feature phone on the new line. That way you get a gnex and it will only cost you about $10 more per month than you pay now. I did this all at my local verizon store and it took all of about 15-20 minutes.
