I am running the International HOX, 13-14hrs with the regime you listed isn't too realistic to be honest. The real problem is how HTC manages power to begin with, most of it goes to the screen by default. 1800mh isn't enough... my advice is to buy a power pack, it fits right on the phone (makes it a little bulky) but will give you the extra juice.

i know how to install a custom rom without even having one x. i am sure i can. i dont care about storage. 32GB is more than enough. can you tell me how much should be available from this 32GB for user. i dont care about removable battery as long as my phone can last me 13 to 14h with moderate or heavy usage.

Well, if you know how to I small a ROM, buy the One X. The battery life on the One is excellent, and even better when you Flash an AOKP ROM. Between 2 and 4 gigs will be used depending on which ROM you choose, and you can also plug in a flash drive for extra storage when you need it. With a custom ROM it also has great multitasking that's just as good as the S3.

That's because of the space your OS/ bloatware takes up. As I said above the OS takes like 4 gigs.

I have ht25 and no issues with anything. If yours does, use the return policy.

there is not HTC service centre in my country (Bangladesh) so they wont give the replcaement warranty. they only will provide free service for a year. i.e. the local shop will provide the service warranty

I would wait until Sunday because the word is that ATT is going to drop the price to $100. And as you've seen on AC Radio Shack is doing the same thing, so you can bet the other third parties will go even lower (like Amazon)..

I'm also a bit dubious about this phone due to the many problems I've been seeing people have with the hardware, on top of the sealed back, no microSD and poor execution of multi-tasking which is actually done well in stock ICS. It's a shame that HTC didn't do a better job in my opinion. The Atrix HD actually comes close, but also has a sealed back, near stock Android but DOES have a microSD slot, not to mention it can be had for $50 at Amazon.

Can tell from this and a few comments you've posted that you bought the atrix. Look, I'm sure it's a fine phone, but OP said he knows how to Flash a ROM. The One X with a custom ROM blows the atrix out of the water. The screen is better, and the phone is way sexier.

Don't think so. Look for micro scratches on the back of the phone. Sounds like your local shop is kind of sketchy.

first is the battery life. i need 13h of battery life with atleast 3.5h screen on. i cant charge in the meantime.
my usage is: 1hr of light gaming (mostly stick cricket, fruit ninja, highway rider and temple run), 1hr of web browsing, few image capturing and 30mins of phone call. will the ONE x be able to survive till then?
i am in deep dilemma. i cant and dont want to buy the s3. and there are not even any substitute left for one x.

second is the wifi death grip hardware issue. i know only around 10 percen of the users face this but still. the biggest problem is the battery. i dont need it to last 1day but half a day with that usage.

Yeah unless you have a battery bank. There's plenty the same size as the S3 battery, so there's really no difference between it and a phone with a removable battery. I'm sorry if that concept is difficult for you.

And when will you realize that like 99 percent of people aren't like us and don't carry around spare batteries with them? For the market overall, it's a non issue as a selling point. The lack of and SD is a million times more of a problem for most consumers. Doesn't bother me, cause I use a 128GB flash drives, SD doesn't have enough space for me. But for most people, that could be annoying.

That's the real thing. Those of us posting on here regularly are a very small percentage of users overall. The majority of people will NEVER swap a battery unless it goes bad. Even on the Inspire with it's tiny replaceable battery I never swapped it for a fresh one. I would just charge it as I needed to.

As soon as I realized that I was more ok with having a non-removable battery. It's a different story if you are literally not around a charger for long periods of time (like a construction worker or something like that). But even then, you have to carry the battery with you, and then figure out a way to recharge that extra battery, which, IMHO, is more hassle than charging a battery bank. The big difference is that with a battery bank it needs to dangle off you phone to charge it, as opposed to just changing batteries. But at least the battery bank can be charged through USB, where the spare battery needs its own charger.

I agree that storage is the bigger issue for most people, but again, people will learn to adjust. If they find that they can't deal with they'll get something else. I've been managing just fine without doing anything different or extra than I did with any other phone. That is, I just use my phone and don't worry about it. I haven't ran out of space yet, and if I do it'll be because of pictures, which can be taken off and deleted.

Yes the sd card missing is just stupid on htc' s part.

You want to sell a phone, appeal to EVERYONE to increase your chances.

There wasn't a single good reason to omit the card slot either. They talk about drop box, but you're using data to do that and at&t are super gay about data. The EVO (which is the best phone on the market after the gs3) has one, why couldn't the ox?

And charging the extra battery isn't a hassle at all. I had a spare got my EVO and all I did was charged the spare while I charged the phone. It's not hard at all. ,8 bucks and I got a spare battery and a charger. Can't beat that.

I'll be happy to give you a screenshot. Like I said, WIT the external battery. A little over 4 hours with the internal, the rest with the external.

The One X has survived several dunk tests and survived. The micro drilled holes are waterproof. The S3 didn't survive the dunk test.

As to the S3 looking better, just about every reviewer and the majority of users disagree with you.
