Want to replace my Droid Maxx

Hello,

I want to replace my Verizon Droid Maxx with a different device, preferably non-Motorola.

What are your thoughts on the Samsung S5, or LG G3.

- Do either have LED notifications?
- Is one easier to root vs the other?
- Which one has better construction?
- Has anyone used Prefixer or SmartDial for Two Stage Dialing (dial your company access phone number then dial a contact number)
