I have a rooted HTC Evo 4G that is still running Android 2.2 and version 3.29. I was thinking about flashing the rooted Gingerbread ROM from Clockwork Mod once the new update becomes available on 6/20/11. I'm unsure if I am also supposed to update the radio, etc. through Clockwork Mod once I update to Gingerbread. I am very confused and I really want to use the new Gingerbread as I have basically been on 2.2 since launch day last June 4th. Can anyone help me walk through what exactly I'm supposed to do once the rooted update is available on Monday. Also, should I flash the odexed or de-odexed version? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have you read this thread? It should answer your question about clockwork.

Once the fix for the ota is out you can use either the odexed or the deoexed. The difference is if you are wanting to theme then use the deodexed. If not then the odexed.

When you mean walk you through, are you meaning flashing the update? If so then the devs are more than likely going to add it straight to the rom. So you would flash it as normal. Make a nandroid, wipe data, cache and dalvik cache and then flash.
