[wanted] Android Market improvements

Ok first and foremost I will never refer to the Market as that other horrible name. I started this thread to see if anyone else could think of things they'd like to see the market do. I have a short list of a few things. Feel free to add yours. If you just want to fire a couple of rounds over Google's head, go for it. Let this be the gripe thread...haha.

1. Change the name back to Android Market
1a. Change the icon back to the old icon
2. Have a list of favorites that you can access/install quickly
3. Allow HD phones to download SD apps that are "not compatible"
4. (Not directly a market issue) Allow for easy button remaps for physical buttons

I agree with the name change. "Google Play" sounds horrible. For some reason, I keep imagining someone saying "go play with your google." Android Market had a more serious and powerful ring to it. But anyway, I'd like to see the following;
- A more fleshed out advanced search.
- HD compatible apps section.
- The option to choose internal or external memory as soon as I hit "Install" on an app.
- Free app of the day, Amazon style.

How about a no-refund purchase. For "incompatible" apps? So you agree to not "return" the app since you're going in knowing it's "incompatible"

Give me a way to deactivate old devices in the app

The web interface needs work. Let me see more of "what others viewed" and "what others installed" I like to find new apps this way.

Let me customize my home screen. I'm not buying books from Google

The tile layout is not my favorite. I can't imagine how much worse it is on a smaller screened device.

Premium Market that saves certain data on google servers (games progress)

New market has all my apps i've ever downloaded..... it's getting a bit long after 3 phones, can I get a delete from history button?

Pull down menu so i can get to places faster. For s sake the tap back a screen for all the google apps is out of hand. It's my main gripe against Google Music, navigating is a pain.

I'll complain more tomorrow. On the bright side, I still like it better than Itunes, so Mehh

If you choose auto update you get a notification of everything updated each time it updates. Seemes sneaky sometimes.

I actually like your suggestions. Google definitely does need to make some changes.

You do get notifications of everything. If you're getting sneaky updates, post your app list so I can never install any of those apps :-\

What I'm trying to say is when you choose auto update typically it shows in your notification tab you have updates and when you open it up there is nothing to update. Hence updated already and no idea what has been updated. I like to know what apps are updating so I don't use that feature for that reason. Does the same on all my lines.

Gotcha...sounds like I was getting a bit paranoid..
